It is like living with an internal siren that never turns off. 

Or as if you are always waiting for a strike, but you don’t know from where it will come.

Or when you want to escape, but there is nothing to escape from - because the enemy is in your head.

Anxiety is a personality trait that manifests in a sense of excitement, worry, or concern arising from any reason. It can be just an individual feature, a variant of the norm, or a sign of psychological disorders.

S. Freud evaluated anxiety parallel to such an emotion as fear : A REACTION TO DANGER.

But while fear is a reaction to a specific and explainable situation, anxiety is a reaction to uncertainty and the unknown!
